GRSM attorneys and distinguished guest speakers will present a full day of stimulating and timely legal education on Tuesday, April 30 focusing on cutting-edge trends, case law and recent verdicts. Attendees will be able to earn up to 5 CLE & CE credits, including 1.0 ethics credit and 1.0 Diversity, Inclusion & Elimination of Bias credit. The conference concludes with a cocktail reception, providing an additional opportunity for attendees to interact and engage with fellow attendees.
CLE credit will be provided in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Florida, and California. CE credit will be provided in Texas and Florida.

This session will focus on the increasing number of ethical issues, challenges, risks, and benefits that arise from the rapid expansion of the use of artificial intelligence in the fields of law and insurance, and will provide an insightful exploration into the problems and solutions in this arena. The topics to be covered will include, among others: the types of ethical issues presented by use of AI in claims involving Professional Liability, Health Care, Cyber, Employment, Casualty, IP and other areas and best practices and strategies for addressing same. General Session – Where Are We Now: Eliminating Bias, Ethical Considerations, and DEI after Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard
This course will discuss the ethical issues for attorneys and organizations following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, decided on June 29, 2023, including the status of diversity, equity and inclusion (“D.E.I.”) efforts. We will discuss the Harvard case, what is happening in the Courts and with governmental action post the decision, and ethical issues for attorneys under the Rules of Professional Conduct (“RPC”) which make it clear that lawyers are “public citizens having special responsibility for the quality of justice.”
