    This presentation is based on Chris DeSantis’ book, Why I Find You Irritating: Navigating Generational Friction at Work. It’s not enough to just understand generational differences. Companies need to embrace the diverse perspectives and experiences each generation brings to the workplace and learn from one another.

    In this topic you will learn:

  • What is important to each generation in terms of their beliefs, values, and priorities;
  • How the expression of those values can be misinterpreted across different age groups; and
  • How to overcome the misinterpretations.

    Chris DeSantis is an independent organizational behavior consultant based in Chicago. He works with individuals or groups to enhance their effectiveness, with an emphasis on user-friendly solutions aligned with the company’s strategic initiatives.

    Chris has more than 25 years of experience in training, development and consulting—10 of which was within corporate environments and since 1995 as an external consultant. He was the Director of Training and Development for the American Medical Association and was part of the Human Resource Development group for Brunswick Corporation.
